Geraldine Public Schools is a small, rural K-12 school district with a student-to-teacher ratio of less than 6:1; however, our enrollment is trending upward! We are in a unique situation here in Montana. Public education in our state is facing political pressures, mainly in the form of funding debate, which is not unique. However, what is distinctive about our situation is that we stand at the forefront against the consolidation argument because of the efficient, effective, and flexible education that we provide each student in our building, regardless of their background. Our staff strives to live our mission statement every day by “providing excellence in education for each student to succeed in life.”

As any educator knows, this can be a task, but it is a task that our innovative, collaborative, and dedicated team takes on daily in service to our students. On top of our unique educational setting, our natural setting is hard to beat. We are in the heart of central Montana with the Missouri Breaks National Monument to the north and east, Square Butte and the Shonkin Sag formation to the south, and the Highwood Mountains to the west: our backyard is abundant with outdoor opportunities! The icing on the cake for certified staff on our team is a FREE district-provided housing opportunity, a 75% district contribution to any of our health insurance plans, and the best FREE school lunches under the Big Sky.
